The Boys At BYU

So I feel that all the boys I have met at BYU are nothing but drama. Even the stories I hear about them are nothing BUT drama. Am I wrong? are there any normal people who go to BYU?

  1. You don't need to reveal your source. Just your suspicions. I know who you are though.

  4. The gay world is quite dramatic. However, I wouldn't say that only the BYU gays are dramatic. I think a lot of the Utah gay crowd is warped because of the LDS factor. There are a lot of boys who give up their church along with their values and morals. To me it's very understandable, albeit sad and unwise. I don't blame or judged them, but I'm trying hard to not become like that.

I don't agree that BYU gays are "nothing but drama". True, there is a lot of drama, but a certain level of drama is normal and can be expected in anyone's life. My brother is straight and he sees his fair share of drama with girls. In fact, recently he's seen a LOT more drama than I ever have. :)

It's sad when one is blinded by the drama and overlooks the good in others. I personally am working on that. No matter how dramatic a person is, I want to be able to see good in them. If I lived my life only trying to associate with 100% drama-free people, then I'd end up alone and friendless.

However, there is definitely a line that must be drawn when other peoples' drama begins to distort your own grip on reality.

Sorry for going on and on. It's just a really interesting and relevant topic in my life right now. Good luck in your search for what it is you're looking for.
